Scotland - Dunkeld to St Andrews

Dunkeld Cathedral houses the Atholl Monument (left) which towers over the tomb where the ashes of John, The Marquis of Atholl (d. 1703), his wife and children are placed. The monument's Latin translation includes a note: 'Jane - d. aged 4 therefore presumably, a girl, not worth recording'. The 'Apostles Stone' (right) is dated at 9th or 10th century. The carved human figures depict a battle scene, it also shows Daniel in the Lion's Den and the story of the loaves and fishes.
